Teacher interview on 26/5/12

How to apply teacher? u can use stpm / matriculation/ diploma level to apply in upu ... thr r 3 levels u need to go thru before getting a degree in education in local IPTAs. First is being selected to go to MedSi > MedSi > n then an interview with panels of judges.

My interview was on 26/5/12 ( Sunday) . My father drove me to UMS ( Universiti Malaysia Sabah) which take about 6 hours . Interview time is 9 am. I was interview in room tutorial  3 in sekolah pendidikan & pembangunan sosial, UMS

Of cuz, u hv to knock the door n greet the judges before going inside. As i was going inside, i saw 3 ppl. 1 girl 2 guys... The girl make me go thru a test which is to test if ur a colour blind.... and the 2 guys is the judges... . the girl never spoken a word during the interview

During interview , the questions they asked were (As far as i can remember):

• Based on the policies about MBMMBI, maths n science subjects should be teach in english or BM?? why?? 
• But u already know that the students live in interior area english is very bad.... if maths n science subjects teach in BI , it would be a burden to them
• Why must learn english as u claim so that our country will be developed country??? Look at Japan n Korea, eventhough their english is not good but they still achieve developed country status. Tell me why our country cannot be like them?
• Based on ur experience, how u learn english? u can speak well in english.
• I answered my parents bring me to library each week since young. so maybe thats why my english is good.
• If ur a teacher, how u would teach ur students about english? I answered i will try to make some group activities for them... so they can learn in a fun way... I dont want students to sleep in my class
• Then the judges answered... u think teaching english is like playground...???!!!( I forgot what he said already...something like that )
• The judges said if ur in interior areas ...then how u gona take them library since .... the pusat sumber hv limited books.... something like that la ...
• Lastly, bonus questions ...( in my opinion) ..Who is the minister of Education?? Who is the timbalan minister? who is the timbalan minister 2 of education? Wht is the full name of ketua menteri Sabah?
• I can answered the name of minister of education , timbalan minister 1 , but i cannot answered the timbalan minister 2.... I only rmb ketua menteri sabah as Musa Aman...:'(
• Lastly, he asked " do u know how to speak Mandarin?" ( in Mandarin :O ) .. then i laughed n smiled n said ya... ( cuz i interview for TESL n BC) .... They not asked me questions about "Bahasa Cina dgn Pendidikan " at all

SPA interview tips and experience

Hi everyone,  I went thru SPA interview in the end of April . The post that i got for my interview is  penolong pegawai perubatan (PPP) , penolong pegawai farmasi and jururawat. I felt stupid cuz i put PPP as my first choice. I should have put the penolong pegawai farmasi cuz i could be a real pegawai farmasi after i "naik gred" until to U41 which requires a degree. And after finish my training , I would have get a diploma in Farmasi.....  i so stupid :'(

I wore a long sleeve blouse n a office long pants during interview. When i got thr, the ppl tht work in pusat temu duga keep saying that i wore the wrong clothes, saying that i should have wore Baju Kurung . well i think i did dress properly for interview. Haaaa, eventhough what they said, I still succeed in interview as Penolong Pegawai Perubatan  n will be undergone training at Kolej Sain Kesihatan Bersekutu, Kota Kinabalu soon. Well to play it safe, i think all girls should wear baju kurung

First of all, I would like to remind u to bring a 2B pencil,eraser n a pen. Before u go thru the face-to-face interview, u have to answer some personality questions. As wht i remember, thr r few hundreds of questions.

After that, u will go to kaunter n they will give u a ticket .. lol... ticket for "giliran nombor" for the interview.. i think im the 12th calon that day... i wait for 8 person to finish interview until its my turn.. It was extremely slow as they interview each person for around 20 min!!!!

During my interview, the questions that they asked are:

1. Introduce yourself -ur qualification - ur ambition
2. Test how much do u know about ur future job - the scope of ur job - **all info can be reach at gov websites.
3. The words in logo of kementerian kesihatan ( i failed to answer)
4. Who is the minister of Health? Who is vice minister of Health? Man or woman? He/ she is from papar.( failed to answer too)
5. Some "patriotik" questions - what is rukun negara- 5 principles of rukun negara - whats the use of rukun negara
6. Test how good is ur english 
7. If u r applying for nurse, they would ask some general questions bout food pyramid, BMI .... some simple questions... but too bad the other calons cannot answer 

Every year, thr is 2 intake of  Latihan Separa Perubatan . I think everyone should give it a try... as they hv intake more often than other jawatan. So be careful about what u choose for the 5 jawatan.

Applying Government jobs thru SPA

One of the options for STPM leavers is to apply government jobs

i think we should always have a plan B when plan A doesnt work. Wht if application in UPU failed n we dont get our dream course????


Gov jobs r open for ppl between aged 17-25 . We can actually apply it after SPM. Well,  dont think that we hv wasted time to take STPM.. it is actually good, we learned more things than the ones who applied after SPM. It is an advantage when we go to SPA interview.

New STPM Format

Recently, the government changed the current Terminal System of STPM to the new Modular System. This new system will apply to the students who enroll this year. 

The new modular system consists of 3 semesters. After each semester, thr will be an exam. More info can be reached thru www.mpm.edu.my

I am a former STPM 2011 Leavers and i just got my result at 7 Mar 2012.By the way, I am a science stream student. I get A for Pengajian Am (P.A), B for Biology, C+ For Mathematics T and C for Chemistry.

If u r taking accounting during ur SPM, I think its better u go to the commerce stream when form 6 . U will stand a better chance as it is easier to study commerce stream compared to science stream

I think STPM requires very high discipline in order to excel in ur study. I regret that i have not focus enough to my study.
